I do heart the Carrboro Farmer’s Market

It’s Wednesday again, and that means Farmer’s market!  This week, I definitely feel like we’re edging into fall produce.  The tomatoes are on their way out and there was not a blueberry to be seen.   I indulged in some late season peaches to celebrate the end of summer.  They’ll be quite tasty with the greek yogurt that I am currently addicted to.
I also stocked my totes with: Fresh eggs, shitake mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes, grape tomatoes, okra, kale, arugala, poblano peppers, peaches, spelt pitas, a sweet potato and pecan muffin and 2 cookies.
And I was unable to resist indulging in some Hot Chow Chow from the wonderful lady who also makes a delicious pepper jelly(Bonlee Grown Farm), and some Asiago Cheese by the Chapel Hill Creamery.
